hey ya'll!

I'm Alex

mom, wife, photographer

my approach

I grew up in North East Missouri, in a small rural town right on the Mississippi river. We fondly refer to it as the ‘end of the earth.’ I met my husband there in the summer of 2011. He’s a Wisconsin native and he swept me off my feet and moved me north. We had our son, Blaine, in January of 2015, got married in August of 2017 and had our sweet baby girl, McKenzie Jo, in the following year.

First and foremost I am a mother, which is what truly sparked my photography journey. I had always loved to photograph people, but once I had my son I realized how moments are fleeting and I wanted to make sure I always remember all the little things.

A couple things to know about me: I am a HUGE family person, I would do anything for them, I have 2 younger brothers, I live off of coffee and Twizzlers, my heart is at home in a good sunset lit field, and I am a diehard Steelers fan(sorry Green Bay fans!) I have a crazy, busy life but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

about me

With an eye to make the unsuspecting beautiful, I have always known I wanted to be a professional photographer. Here, I'm excited to help couples and families capture their one-of-a-kind love story through professional photography. I can't wait to meet you and tell your story!

My goal is to capture you and your partner in an authentic and joyful way. The way you smile at one another, the way you laugh together, the way you fit into one another's arms so perfectly. . . These are the moments I capture so joyfully!

My approach is designed to help you feel comfortable and at ease from the first photo to the last. My heart is for capturing love stories the way they're meant to be told - not just the way they look online or in magazines - but the authentic, raw, honest way they are in real life. In a world where so much is perfectly polished, I want to present something perfectly imperfect - something so honest and true that you'll look back and say fondly,
"This is us."
